SOLD INTRAMURAL
PROGRAM

LDSA combines with two local soccer clubs, Swatara and Olmsted to form the SOLD (Swatara, Olmsted, Lowed Dauphin) Intramural League. This league provides inter-club playing opportunities for ages 6 through 11.   Intramural teams are organized by area. This often means kids within the same township or neighborhood are kept together.

The Under 7 boys embarked on a new experimental program in 2003.  This group plays 4v4 with no goalkeepers.  The goals are the small PUG type.  The intent is to increase the number of touches by reducing the number of players on the field and to emphasis offensive tactics over defensive.

Under 8 boys and girls play six a side soccer on a 50 yard field.

The Under 10 and 12 boys and girls play eight a side soccer on a 75 yard field. Separate boys and girls teams are maintained.

The small sided soccer allows players to develop good soccer skills.   The emphasis is on fair play, developing good soccer fundamentals and developing pride in the team and the association.
