CHLD RECREATIONAL
PROGRAM

The CHLD league allows players U13 and above to continue to play intramural soccer. This program is being conducted in cooperation with CASA, Hershey, and LDSA. The program is designed as an alternative to the travel programs for players who are involved in other activities and do not have the time or desire to play travel soccer.

The Recreation program is for grades 7 through 11.

The program plays 8v8 soccer on reduced sized fields (generally 60x80 yards).

The league is divided into 4 divisions:

Girls Junior division- grades 7 & 8 (U13/U14)

Boys Junior division- grades 7 & 8 (U13/U14)

Girls Senior division- grades 9 & 10 & 11 (U15/U16/U17)

Boys Senior division -grades 9 & 10 & 11 (U15/U16/U17)

To qualify for play in one of these divisions a player must meet the following requirements:

•  Meet either the grade level requirement OR the age level requirement for that division. Age is determined as of July 31, 20XX.

•  Must not be actively playing on a Division I or Division II travel team.

(league is for rec caliber players).

•  Must be registered with EPYSA through a local soccer program and be covered by that local program's normal insurance policies.

Any local program wishing to field a team or teams in the league is asked to submit player rosters with a minimum of 10 players on each team to the CHLD program coordinators by August 1 st , 20XX. It is the responsibility of the program fielding the team to provide coaches, uniforms, a home field or fields, practice fields, and referees for home games.

The main objective of the Recreation League (CHLD) is to give the participants a chance to play soccer and have fun, while learning soccer skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. In support of this goal, there will be no team standings kept.

All players should receive approximately equal playing time.
