 | John Abe was born in Germany and learned to play soccer as a child there. At age 13, he moved to Baltimore and continued to excel at the game. He became a collegiate two time All-American before being drafted during his sophomore year by the Baltimore Blast of the Major Indoor Soccer League. John's professional soccer career spanned over 10 years by playing both in the professional indoor and outdoor leagues. He has received numerous accolades including a three time All-Star and was inducted into the Maryland Soccer Hall of Fame in 2000.

 | Denis is originally from Dublin, Ireland, where he grew up playing soccer for the Irish Schoolboy and Youth National Teams. Denis obtained a "C" coaching license from The Football Association of Ireland. He also had professional tryouts with Mill Wall FC from London, England before being offered a full scholarship to the US.
Denis was a three year Regional All American and studied Elementary Education at Elizabethtown College. Denis has been coaching youth soccer for 14 years.

that he can’t remember when he started. His life
long relationship with the game is evident when he
steps on the playing field for the Islanders. The

I found a love for the game at a young age when Ben Olsen, Coach of DC United, who is a good friend of my older sister first showed me a few tricks with ball in the front yard.
